Adriano
Drums
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, my love for drumming began at twelve when I started studying at Zimbo Trio Music School. Later, I moved to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music. After over thirty years of playing drums professionally, I have taught for over two decades, including at New York University and Columbia. I am passionate about teaching all genres and skill levels, but my expertise lies in Latin and jazz styles. I enjoy performing with my jazz/Latin quartet while not teaching. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to record with Eric Johnson, open for Pat Metheny, and play with Grammy Award-winning Jazz artists. I am proud to be an artist endorser for Vic Firth sticks, Canopus drums, and Istanbul Agop cymbals. Teaching has always been a fulfilling experience for me, as I love seeing my students grow and achieve their dreams. It's an honor to share my knowledge and help others achieve their musical goals.
