Two of my favorite things are God’s precious children and teaching them to make music. I use a method of teaching that students can grasp quickly, developing their sight reading ability and creativity. I studied music theory and voice during college and traveled with a choir and band. After college, I began teaching piano lessons and a group piano class in the HISD after school program. Outside of teaching, I lead worship in a weekly prayer group. I am a firm believer in parental involvement. While I do my best to motivate students to practice, having oversight and accountability at home is key to achieving the best results.
