I caught "the bug" of music and art at an early age from my parents. In 2000, I started my teaching career and have loved teaching all ages and levels since then. I have over twenty years of experience in teaching private music lessons, music studios and well-known schools such as Colegio San Agustin. After that, I expanded my expertise in Singapore where I learned violin, taught baby beats - a high energy, interactive and very creative class (for two to four-year-old kids), music theory (young to adult students) to train and prepare them to take the Trinity Guildhall London Examination and the prestigious ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) exams as well. I also performed and was a flutist in UST Wind Orchestra, MSE Orchestra and professional ensembles playing classical, pop, jazz, broadway and other genres. I was also the music trainer/worship team co-leader/vocalist in Every Nation church Victory Galleria.
Aristotle once said, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” I believe that teaching should be personalized, passionate, disciplined, structured, empathetic, creative and enjoyable. It needs to improve both the technical and expressive sides of music.
